Huffpomania Does anyone read the comments on huffpo threads? They're the most conspiracy crazed people I've come across online. Seriously, it's so bizarre. No other liberal sites are like this.

Mainly because the column writers can't censor the comments, so far as I know, and the formatting isn't like a thread, so there's no sense of community or accountability. It ends up like news story comments on Yahoo.

I commented on a Peter Daou post once and not only did nobody respond to me, half the comments had nothing to do with the post at all. It certainly wasn't a hospitable place to discuss serious political analysis.
