Hitler or Coulter? Coulter or Hitler? Identify the author of each quote. Then weep for the nation.
No contest -- I only got one wrong. Quiz tip: Hitler was far more erudite than Ann Coulter is.

There's a difference?

I guessed wrong on the one from Adolf about attacks on America always being started by liberals. Other than that it was pretty easy. Several of them simply sounded like someone smarter or at least better at speaking and writing than Ann said them.
Luckily, Coulter is about as charming as a Tasmanian Devil.

Hey!

What about this one? Or this one? Or these ones?

I also wondered what weretable wondered, so I thought maybe "Liberal" had been substituted for "Jew" and "America" for "Germany". Google seems to agree.

I got two wrong (clicked Coulter, should have been Hitler).

Are there citations for the quotes?

contessa: I used the same method as you, guessing Hitler for the items that were well-written.

I missed the one about liberals destroying America, because well... it just seemed like Coulter's subject material. The writing style was definitely closer to Hitler's, so the edits threw me.

She's in that class of people that I wish I knew nothing about. Knowing anything at all about her and her spewage brings out in me my very most base and violent nature that, sadly, is not altogether different from hers. Like her, I find it pretty easy to say "here is a life that is better ended". Unlike her, I recognize in this some moral failing in myself, a latent bloodthirstiness that has its own demands and which distorts reason to its own aims.

But then all truly hateful and bullying people bring out the hateful and bullying part of myself. Yet, knowing this, I nevertheless cannot force myself to embrace pacifism even though it is exactly this sort of context which should, for those with sufficient moral strength, reveal the imperative to do so.

Thus it is that it is our confrontations with those we deeply, instinctively see as our truest enemies reveal our own deepest natures. Say what you will about Christianity as an organized religion—Christ himself, whether a real person or a myth (or both), quite clearly showed that a kind of love of one's enemies is the way forward and a contempt and hatred the regressive addition to the sum total of evil. And what a huge pity that people like Coulter can think of themselves as Christians and so obviously and deeply contradict the essential teachings of Christ.

But what else is new?

Weep for the nation?

Fuck that noise. Laugh at the nation!

Eventually, I will be forced to kill in the name of peace, and when I die I will share a rack in hell with the monsters I murdered. Nobody wins.

Oh yeah, the diction is a total give away. I got two wrong because they mentioned America.

I hope Coulter sees this. She'd probably go on about "how liberals demonize her by comparing her to Hitler", but surely even she couldn't claim that there is a significant difference in content.
