Link to the best photo you've ever taken. At flickr, or wherever. One photo, maybe two. Show us what you got. Hit me with your best shot.
Naw, it's all communal. I'm not territorial. Most of the time I crib the themes from other people's suggestions from the Wiki anyway. I don't care if someone else does it, and lately I keep forgetting to post the themes ahead of time because I'm insanely busy anyway.
Chewie, I notice you use the "click to see image" format that shows up here when images are turned off... Do you know about the toggle on/off images link at the top of the page? If you don't see inline photos (and you want to), just click "images on". Clicking this, either on or off, sets it for the whole site (well, posts and comments, anyway).
mud, that reminds me of this set at flickr. I am deeply in love with those photos. Especially this one.
And your photo is fabulous. So many of these are off the charts. A few take my breath away. Sometimes it's the technical aspects, like the balance or the composition or the clarity/depth of field or the color, and sometimes it's what the photo emotes. When the technical and the feeling come together, it's like...getting hit in the moon by a pizza pie. For me, anyway.
are my two personal favorites that are online, although I've gotten the most compliments, by far, on this photo, which I think probably looks the most "professional":
and this one, even though I didn't take it, Jen did. Last summer, at Kincardine, walking down to Lake Huron, with a tiny, bare bummed Evelyn following me.
Oh post something, Capn. Don't be discouraged - this is a real learning experience for me, and hopefully for others, too. Every time somebody posts something I learn something from it. I've been studying fenriq's flickr photographs for the past few days to see what exactly makes them so spectacular.
I have discovered his secret formula. It's dogs and bubbles. From now on, all photographs should contain both of these elements.
Ico, I have some kids 'n' bubbles shots, but fenriq really does do bubbles better than most. He also does dog photos about as good as anyone I have ever seen. Mind you I think Nande is a total ham so she's prolly the reason for some of his success!
Much like me. With girls as cute as Sophie and Evelyn, it's hard not to take good photos!
I have very few of my photos on-line, but I was pretty happy with the way this turned out. With some photshoppery to adjust the light and stuff, I think it could come up pretty well. ≡ Click to see image ≡
