I need good juju do you have fingers and toes to cross? England scored a goal against Sweden. Oh please don't let us loose!
Sorry Hugh. That's "us". You know silly trivia, we never let England win. It's tradition. Other can beat the shit out of us, but NEVVAAAR ENGLAND! Noo!
Heh. I've always been a fan of Henrik Larsson, and Freddy Ljungberg spent about six months looking down at me in his underwear from a billboard at Broadway and Houston last year. I don't much like rooting for England, who don't need the win, right? So sure, I'll cross body parts for Sweden. Someday, I know, Sweden will do the same for me.
*runs over to hug halonine* MWAH! Thankyou! YEay! A draw! yeah, good question Hugh, do we advance? I think that depends on what happens in other games.. Oh dear...
carmina ,its not civilized. But everything else is true!
I fear that if the Paraguay result stands, it might be England and Paraguay advancing. But I don't have a table in front of me, so I really don't know, and I really want to leave work, like, five minutes ago.
Great game, Sverige! Great game, England! Great game, Metachat!
Paraguay was not going to advance no matter what happened today. T&T could have advanced, I believe, it they had beat Paraguay and Sweden had lost to England--but only if they won the tie-breaker, but I'm not going to try to figure that out.
I think Hugh is just getting his South American nations mixed up. Ecuador are indeed going through, but they are in Group A whereas England and Sweden are in Group B.
How does this juju work exactly? Should dabitch have asked for a victory instead? Or is it like those fairy tales where the more humble the wish, the more likey it is to come true?
I'm not but my baby is. :) (yes, you could read that as to mean my baby is Danish because she's born here, or that "my baby" that is my man is Danish. Both are true, aren't I clever? hahaha!)
