Yay!

I've known this song since high school. Melanie was from my hometown, and our art teacher, who was her art teacher, turned us on to her. I still love some of her songs: "A Little Bit of Me," and whatever one has that chorus "Lay down, lay down, lay it on down, let your light come shining..."

"Candles In The Rain" was one of the earliest "favorite songs" I ever had. Still have a major soft spot for Melanie.

Heh. I love this song.

Now, do you have "Midnight at the Oasis"?

Oh, yay!

In return, a tune that is in no way related to any of the above, but is something you may not have laying around on the hard drive: from The Alan Parsons Project album "Tales of Mystery and Imagination - Edgar Allan Poe": Dr. Tarr and Professor Feather.

gosh my daughter will freak out when I play her this.

it's SO out of her experience. . .I used to have the vinyl of this and thought that it would be cute if melanie and neil young teamed up.

now, not so much so.

"Brand New Key" was the number one song in the country the day I was born.
