3. The dog is curled up on the bed with just her face hanging out of the covers and she's SO CUTE I want to eat her.
1. I'm listening to Night Ranger's "(You Can Still) Rock In America" right now. (the iPod's on shuffle. it rocks. fuck you)
2. I'm working on a Johnny Rivers 2-for-1 reissue.
3. I did quite a nice job with the hairwax and pocket comb this morning and look splendiferous.
1. I am having coffee this morning with a Vanilla Chai Spice creamer and its pretty excellent.
2. I am working out five to seven days a week again (not weights everyday but definitely cardio) and I feel great!
3. I am mourning my tent gazebo that was destroyed by a big gust of wind and my deck.
1. I'm going on vacation starting Friday.
2. I haven't had quite enough sleep.
3. I just finished the third volume of Noel Streatfeild's autobiography.
1. I'm reading a book called "Already Dead"
2. I just got back to Chicago from L.A.
3. I have to move a sofa out of my apartment lobby and into my apartment.
1. A week from now I will be in NYC (yikes).
2. I am biking a hell of a lot and starting to lose the 10 lb. I have put on over the past few years.
3. I am jonesing for another latte right now.
1. I ate too much at lunchtime, someone else was paying and it was at a lovely posh restaurant.
2. I need to lose weight (hmmm... see 1. above for clues)
3. I'm looking forward to returning to work next week.
1. I'm experimenting with some new behaviors and ideas.
2. There's a long list of projects I'm engaged in -- all cool but simply too much for one person. Especially one person who wants to have a life.
3. I need to learn to manage my money better; or make more of it, one or the other.
1. I'm a big ball of stress since I'm DJing a wedding Friday. Who hires goth club DJs for weddings? My friends do, that's who. Now pardon while I have horrid thoughts of people's older relatives screaming at me...
2. I have a meeting at noon that has next-to-nothing to do with my job, and will leave me an hour behind for the rest of the day
1. I just made really good drip coffee, which pleases me because for some reason I'm awful at making drip coffee.

I went to yoga yesterday, even though I was in a foul mood and am beginning to suspect the teacher doesn't like me, and after I told her I was all stressed from work she was so super-cool about basically encouraging me to be happy -- she used me for a couple demos that were just really ego gratifying, for instance (yes, I know, ego's bad, but sometimes it gets its feelings hurt and needs to be assuaged), kept pushing me just enough so that I was engaged and challenged during class, and made me feel all "I can do this!" about myself again.
3. My cat keeps coming up and sitting in my lap and purring and looking at me with such an expression of love and happiness that she makes me happy.
1. I'm reflecting on whether Spain are the best team in the World Cup.
2. I'm wondering whether any of agropyron's censored things have anything to do with the fact that TPS is not wearing pants? (Or should I wash my mind out with carbolic soap?)
3. Now that I've mentioned that, I'm trying my best to ignore TPS's second "thing".
1. My inlaws are coming over for dinner. This is severely stress inducing.
2. My best friend has invited herself and family along on our family vacation. This is a very, very bad idea. Monumentally bad.
3. I've been having the "waitress fantasy" a lot lately. In it, I move far away and get a job at a small town diner. I live in a small apt. with lots of books. No friends. No family. Just me, my books and time enough at last.

My ex chose her current lover over our son, so he is now living with me.
My doctor doubled my zoloft prescription, so I am dealing with that.
My son and I are planning on flying to Europe in September with no clue when we will return.

3. My manager asked me to stay on until the 30th, but the person who assigns me work doesn't seem to want to give me any. I'm wondering if these last 21 days are going to really draaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag.
1. I'm reading a book for work called The Third Circle, Interactions That Drive Lean Six Sigma Results.
2. I have a 4 hour phone conference to dial into at 1:00 PM.
3. I could really use a hug although such things are frowned upon at work.
1. I am currently debating where to go for my next holiday. Belarus is seemingly out, but I'll be in the Ukraine, so perhaps another former Soviet state shall be on my itinerary.
2. I am also not wearing pants and working from home, although I have a meeting this morning.
3. I stayed up until 1 AM reading Batman: The Long Halloween and it was pretty good.

3. Kaylee is whining because she wants to play with the cats, and they do play but tend to go where she can't (bedroom and the mister's desk) and it's really pissing her off.

2. My Brain Age obsession has been replaced by a Big Brain Academy obsession.
3. Tonight, I'm teaching a 'Windows Basics' class, and, frankly, I'm just a tiny bit nervous.
1. I'm working from home and currently in my pajamas (10 am).
2. I saw Built to Spill last night, and after all these years I think they are still consistently my favorite live band.
3. I still haven't taken my car to the body shop to get the side view mirror replaced.
1. I am jealous that matildaben saw BtS last night and can bet that a good friend of mine from the NW was also there. (He and I used to go see them all three nights they'd play; he's a Martsch fanatic).
2. I really wish I didn't have band practice tonight because I'm so tired and it would be good to spend the night at home watching deadwood season 2 disc 2 with my partner, but we have a show this Saturday and have completely re-written the set so we need to polish it up.
3. everyone at work wants a piece of me before I go on vacation.
1. I work in an office and so pants (or skirts, I guess) are mandatory. Shoes, however, are not.
2. I’m about to start reading “The Double” and I hope it’s as good as “Blindness”. Douglas Coupland was in town last night for a reading and I missed it. This makes me sad.
3. I have three really huge projects with ridiculous deadlines right now and have no excuse for playing on MeCha, but I’m still trying to find a way to rationalize it.
1. My mom had a colonoscopy this morning and there is a large mass in her colon. She will have to have surgery next week and that means I can't go to the beach but that is pretty much okay with me. Now we wait for the biopsy results. It's been a long few weeks of this kind of thing.
2. I am really tired and I have decided that I dislike my cat intensely. He wakes me up every night over and over again and I can't stand it and it's not even like he's a nice fun loving cat - he's just an obnoxious freaked out PITA.
3. My hairdresser's phone has been disconnected and this fills me with sorrow.

2. I've been thinking about making a new blog after quitting this spring & shutting down my 6 year old one.
3. I'm having some nestles semi sweet morsels.
1) Celexa withdrawal. Dizziness, headaches, the desire to lie on the couch without moving so my brain will quit trying to escape via my ear. Although during the occasional moment that I am not dizzy or nauseous, I feel like I can think clearer. Also I have already noticed a greatly increased interest in the opposite sex. Have been off Celexa entirely for maybe a week and was cutting back for about a month before that.
2) I am seriously considering talking my mom into renting rather than selling a piece of property (5 acres) she owns so sometime in the not-so-distant future I can buy or rent it from here and put a nursery on it. I could use the back of the property to start planting bamboo groves and in five years I could start selling bamboo out of the groves and using canes for bamboo furniture and crafts. I am teaching myself how to do stuff with bamboo at the moment. Actually bamboo might end up replacing my cannas in the landscape, although for the front yard I will have to buy a lot of clumping types and/or do some serious containment. I really want to do something like this and yet the other part of me likes money and nurseries are generally tons of work and just livable amounts of money. So. Who knows.
3) I have been looking at fast two wheeled machines that I can not afford as well as as-fast-as-can-make-them-go two-wheeled machines that the various bike trails popping up tell me I need to afford, soon.
1) I'm skipping Arabic tonight to do homework for it. I seriously need to get over this academic burnout.
2) I'm still in my pajamas, but need to add a bra and brush my hair and go get bad chinese food before my stomach eats itself.
3) I wish boys weren't so damned confusing. Dano? Pass the bowl.
