It is confirmed by Nordstrom's even...[More:]

..that yes, I am a 38D. The non-Mrs. Slocombe lady who measured me (her name was Joy) said that she even thought I could be a 38DD, which made me go like this ----> o.o!!!!!;;;;;

And yes, she did try to recommend a Wacoal bra, and she told me that she herself was a 38DD and tried to comfort me by saying, "And it doesn't really look like it, does it?" Man, it was really hard to look her in the eye after that statement. I now know how guys feel when they're trying not to check out the goods.

An unfortunate thing she also noticed is that thanks to me not wearing bras due to band issues that came from not wearing the right size bras, I am definitely more saggy than I should be which also depresses me. Y'all know of any ways to fix that, short of having my skin tucked?

And hey, what was the name of that supercool, ritzy, expensive bra place you recently went to, TPS? Should we make this an NYC-area Ladies' Day event? Because proper bra size is very important.
TL, sorry you're upset!

I find that push-ups or a regular basis make me perky. Er, perkier, anyway.

I keep meaning to go to Nordstrom's myself, but somehow I'm scared to go talk to old women with tape measures.

I have found out that all these years, I have been using the wrong size of condoms. . .

Thank heavens for one of those elderly ladies in department stores . . . I never would have known. . .

I plan a trip to Rigby & Peller in the near future to be properly fitted for a new bra. Since having my lump removed, none of my bras fit properly and the cup edging rubs the scar. It's worth getting properly fitted, buying one bra there and then buying any others in Marks & Spencer, at a price I can afford.

TL: the place in the UES is called Intimacy.

I should clarify: I meant doing exercise push-ups, not wearing push-up bras. Though those also help with the perky.

occhi: They've replaced the elderly ladies in the lingerie department with younger, hipper salesclerks. Let's see if anyone notices!

Speaking of bras, I just spent $84 bucks on four new Warner bras. I know that's not much but I hated spending even that much. I've never been fitted for a bra but mine seem to fit okay (band fits fine, cups are full but not spilling over - what more is there?).

It is my fervent wish that I never need to seek out the tender measurements of an old lady with a tape measure to get fitted for my man-bra.

In fact, this post inspired me to a good workout. Thanks, TrishaLynn!

fenriq: it's a "bro".

Just checked out Intimacy's website. I can never get those nice designs in anything that comes even close to fitting. And I'm sure I'm wearing the wrong size; the straps are always digging into my shoulders (I even snapped a couple of those platic strap-adjusters and had to resort to emergency safety pins -- poor things just couldn't take the strain).

Does seem pricey, though. I couldn't find prices on the website (which is worrisome), but any store that recommends fitting "Reservations" seems like it would be pricey. (Couldn't I just wait at the bra, I mean bar?). No doubt "my girls" would appreciate the pampering, though.

The bras I bought at Intimacy ranged from $60-$115. Of COURSE the most expensive one is the best. ::sigh:: It's difficult to have such expensive taste.

Pips: The website claims that they can fit any woman, any size, any thing, and based on some independent research I've done, custom-fitting at a place like that seems like the way to go if conventional bras just aren't doing it for you. I put in a request for a reservation for a Tuesday evening (they haven't gotten back to me yet); want to come with me to see what it's like?

Sure TrishaLynn, that'd be great. It would be good to actually get a proper fitting... And the prices Pink mentioned seem possible... send me an email. I noticed they do "group fittings." Maybe others would like to come along?
