Kids often will not follow the script. . .even though as parents, we don't always know we have a script.

My daughter has great grades. .in high school. . and hates it. . .she is only finishing because we are insisting on it. . .she is just bored to tears but does not have a viable plan B.

I ate at a Crackerbarrel for the first time last year and had the best pancakes evah - pecan, with maple syrup. I tried a tiny mouthful of grits but that was vile.

I also found out he's got a good lead on a viola teacher at a local college. The guy at the music school also mentioned that if he does well with the lessons, the school may throw some scholarship money at him. So maybe he had to go 900 miles away to learn that he was meant to go to college 25 miles from home. (Okay, I'm projecting out a bit here, but still, finding a viola teacher is a good thing and let's leave it at that.)
