I [heart] Jon Stewart Watch as he humiliates Bill Bennett as Bennett tries to explain why gay couples aren't "real" families. :)
Every time *anyone* goes on that show, I have to wonder if they know what they're getting into. Same with the reps on the "Better Know a District" segment on the Colbert Report.
Is this the same Bill Bennett who likes to sit naked in a Vegas hotel room with three slot machines brought in just for him?
The voice of morality --- in the flesh, so to speak.
I luuuuuuuv the fact that he brought in polygamy, since it's almost exclusively the fetish of googly-eyed, web-toed, cousin-fucking Christofascists. Or at least that how the Mormons describe the folks over in Canyon City.
My personal Bill Bennett fantasy involves a slot machine, a lamp post and some piano wire.
How do you mean, Eideteker? Do you mean the logical extension is the government's mandating marriage for purposes of furthering the population? Not following your argument, but it sounds interesting. Elaborate?
I mean, mudpuppie, if they are serious about marriage (between a man and a woman) being vital to the fabric of society, the next step (after banning gays from ruining it) is to mandate every man and woman be married. Because otherwise society will fall apart.
I don't think this is what any of them intend, so it's obviously just anti-gay hate.
