I thought insomnia_lj was polyamorous. I could be wrong of course, but a relationship with more than two people in it isn't an orgy. It isn't my thing, and part of the reason for that is my inability to understand how you can have a loving sexual relationship with more than two people in it. Yet some people reckon they can manage that. Orgies, on the other hand, involve lots of sex with strangers.

While I might not understand it, I think polyamorous people are doing something very different from orgies. (Unless of course, you think an orgy is just a sex act involving more than two people, in which case I think you should revise your definition.) So, interestingly, I suspect that polyamorous folks would object to your calling them "orgy folk" for exactly the same reason I don't get the whole polyamory thing.
