DVD region codes: Does anyone have the software to make your DVD player region-free? →[More:]I had it but I lost it and I need it again.

It's a computer DVD player, not a stand-alone.

Just watch with VLC. VLC cares not for regions.

Oi. Sorry to bail out for so long. Anyone still around?

Anyway, the Properties section says it's an IDE DVD-ROM 16X. It's probably 3 or so years old by now.

That AnyDVD will work but of course I was hoping for something free.

What is VLC?

I Googled around but I can't tell a good one from a bad one.

Thanks! I'll try it out.

My DVD player lets me play foreign DVDs 4 times and then it locks into whichever one I was playing. Will this get around that?
