Web Sue.0
posted by Wolfdog 27 May | 12:47
So, we're in the Dot Barratry Era, huh? Perhaps Dave Winer should sue Tim O'Rielly, as the [you-know-what]2.0 would be nothing without the buzz from the [yeah-that-too]osphere.

Heaven forbid O'Reilly protect its IP.

This is very disappointing to me. I had always considered O'Reilly to be a decent company but this is just mean.

It has already been settled amicably, but O'Reilley still claims a right to approve or dis-approve any use of the phrase "Web 2.0" in the name of a Conference. So, yes, you can continue using the term as long as you're not physically in a group, and the "Pr0n Web 2.0" convention is going to change its name to "Pr0n Web 69.0"...

Besides, I'm going to wait for them to finish fixing the bugs and release Web 2.1...

...Heck, I'd be happy enough if Web 1.2's bugs were ironed out.
