Is There A Name For This? [More:] One of my quirks is I really enjoy going into stores where they have one thing, only replicated a bunch of different ways, i.e. a lamp store, a tile store, a fabric store. I can walk by a tile shop or lamp store in particular and get immense peace from it.

There's something inside me that is absolutely mesmerized by seeing one object slightly altered and then replicated.

In music, classical fugues do the same thing: a pattern, slightly changed, that emanates out from one theme.

Is there a psychological term for this?

What are some of your pattern-recognition quirks?
I kick ass at this game, which is deceptively simple.

You're drawn to functional aesthetics, particularly in terms of design. And that's a good thing, as Big Bad Martha would say.
