Important Regular Voncersation! It's important that we talk regularly and not drift apart, bunnies. [More:]

I just posted my 2000th comment here. There's no hoping me. At least my latest FPP is boatloads of awesomes.
/me generates static pages and views his blogs...

/me falls into the monolith of his 2001st comment.

/me watches all his past comments streak past in random colors that change every time he blinks.

/me wakes up in an empty IRC room, eats cereal, gets old, and dies in bed.

/me is reborn as a sock puppet entity composed of pure energy called 'Space Baby.'

Nine comments later...

/me visits his mother in the hospital.

/me hooks up with HAL 9000 in space, hangs out, ignites solar fusion in Jupiter. You know, the usual weekend stuff when you're a space baby.

/me sends a message to MetaChat: ALL THESE IRC CHANNELS ARE YOURS EXCEPT #BUNNIES. ATTEMPT NO LOGONS THERE. World peace is declared.

Fifty-one comments after that:

Halley comments again, after 75 years of lurking.

/me doesn't really remember the plot of this book, except for the giant diamond mountain that used to be at the heart of Jupiter.

And finally, 940 comments after that last fiasco:

/me doesn't really do much. There is a lot of speculation of a futurological nature. Then the series (of comments) ENDS, mercifully.

Awesome Eideteker. Perfect parody! I think you're the first person I've known to have finished the series.

I read a lot of Clarke as a youth. It's been ages, but I just started reading some old paperbacks of his I picked up recently. I'm finally reading Childhood's End, and then there's The Nine Billion Names of God and The Wind from the Sun.

Glad someone enjoyed it!
