Bleach Blonde Telecaster Don't try this at home.

I asked
this question on AskMe and got some great feedback. In the meantime I decided to use some lemon Pledge to do a light cleaning of my fretboard. I looked under the sink and found a bottle that was labeled "Pledge" with a lemony scent and figured "Ok, I'm good to go." I laid the guitar flat, started spraying the neck and let it sit for about 30 seconds. Suddenly, I was overcome by a strong smell of bleach. I thought to myself "that's weird" but we do live above the laundry room so I figured that was the source of the smell. I commenced to wiping the "Pledge" and the smell got stonger. Then I panicked. I bent down to smell the neck of the guitar and realized I had just sprayed bleach ALL OVER THE GODDAMN TELECASTER!!!
Epilogue: I got it cleaned up and no untoward damage appears to have occurred but it freaked me out. I called my wife who was out and told her to label bottles if she plans on putting dangerous chemicals in them. She said it was my fault for assuming that a bottle labeled Pledge would actually contain Pledge. That's a whole nother story.
