conichiwa! i'm home!!! did you miss me? huh? huh?

pics to come, but here's a song -- いとせめて -- from these 2 guys-- ワカバ -- who were playing outside Shinjuku Station on Thurs night--apparently they were on tv the night before also...(i forgot what my bartender friend said their name was in English--new tree, or new leaf, or something)

i got a camera, laptop bag, tons of muji clothes and some uniglo tees, and tons of gallery and museum catalogues, and candy, and some litttle pottery pieces, and some little toys too, and a bunch of magazines to bring to work... : >

what a world traveler you are, amberglow.
I think in a lot of ways Tokyo was one of the least worldly places i've ever been, and simultaneously enormously worldly, but only in some ways and in some forms--but definitely not worldly nor diverse at all populationwise, which is really weird for a city considered among the top tier.

oh, and i bought some manga, but the gay one i got was text with just only a few illos--boo! (they were sealed in plastic until the cashier replaced it with a bookcover after purchase)-- i also got Gallery Fake 02-Da Vinci too-i had heard of that series here---- and 2 big cheap thick newsprint ones--WEEKLY SHONEN JUMP, (which is cheap and cheesy and more violent and more juvenile i think) and COMIC BEAM (which is more higherclass and definitely more skillfully done and in a wider variety of styles)--those are each over 500 pages, and the Weekly Jump one is on different colored newsprint (printed really badly)
