I can't believe that was written by a man. Does he really believe the state of a common woman on the street is the same as a common male prisoner?

I disagree. That was totally written by a man.

Wow, I remember that thread. I participated early on, before I decided that I really didn't have anything meaningful to add. But I remember that it really got me riled up, not the issue per se, but the accusation that men who care about male prisoner rape do not care about women rape victims. I think it's a mischaracterization of what I saw to be the main issue, human rights abuses towards prisoners. I think that the author of this article makes the same error, and it also seems like he only read the first few comments in the thread.

For once, I'm not one of the people being accused of being a boyzone offender. For this much I am grateful. Most of the trouble in that thread was caused by the usual suspects doing their 'look how provocative I can be,' dance and then acting suprised when people are actually provoked.

yeah. "boyzone" is awesome. I like the dangerous one with the heart of gold.
