I like licorice flavor jelly beans and altoids. But I don't like the texture and plastic-y feel of licorice itself.

Black licorice is really delicious. I could eat enough of that stuff to shorten my lifespan by a decade.

Have you tried absinthe, luneray? A lot of it tastes like black licorice, and the good stuff is really divine.

Black licorice is one of the best things on earth. Coincidentally, I was craving some as I lay in bed this morning.

And Pernod/Ricard? Kill me now! No wait, not now, let me get drunk on the stuff first.

Oh, and for the record, red licorice isn't "licorice" any more than white chocolate is "chocolate."

I think matildaben is the first person I've known that admits to liking black licorice jelly beans. I've often wondered why they exist - even the small boxes of jelly bellys include some licorice. My guess was that Lewis Black's rant about the re-use of candy corn was actually true about black licorice jelly beans.

Black licorice is basically the Ska of candy is what I'm saying.

I like black licorice jelly beans, mullacc! and pretty much anything aniseed flavored. My favorite drink for special occasions is sambuca on the rocks. Oh yeah.

I adore good black licorice. Not Twizzlers or any kind of crap like that. Black licorice is yummy and it soothes an upset tummy.

I like black licorice. The salty stuff, not so much. I've got a box of allsorts on my desk right now, actually. (not that I'm eating any of it...anise in the coffee, and it'd be a bit much.)

Black salt licorice is my favorite candy. I do NOT like liorice flavoured candies like jellybeans or Twizzlers.

Do keep in mind that real licorice has medicinal properties. It has a cardiovascular effect and can lower blood pressure and slow heartbeat if overdone. I limit myself to 2 "salt coins" or 1 stick a day.

Oddly enough, I don't like anise flavour in my foods.
