Canned oxygen? I seem to remember this as a joke from the movie SpaceBalls. I clearly recollect Dick Van Patten, the king of some planet with a limited air supply, popping open a can of air and sniffing it with great relish.

Apparently, that image stuck in the mind of some marketer.

I think that's Mel Brooks, but yeah, always my favorite sight gag from that movie - "Perri-Air."
