A rational person would have called 911.

Setting things on fire is my preferred method of dealing with every little curveball life throws me.

Sometimes it doesn't work out so well when I'm pissed off with my hair.

Poor snake.

It doesn't quite reach the level of schaudenfreude as the "burning down the mouse" incident, but the snake survived, so I guess it balances out.

This is frequently recommended on Car Talk on NPR

Ugh, that's disgusting. She set the poor thing on fire? What essexjan said.

Yeah, that's terrible. Probably harmless, anyway she could get some kid to come pick it up. I hope they press animal cruelty charges. That's like setting fire to a cat.

But they probably won't press charges because many people have irrational fears of snakes. Shame.

"No one was charged and the snake got away."

At least the snake got away.

I just hope it got away with minor injuries and didn't suffer too much.
