I really wanted to go to this but I'm nowhere near fit enough to travel into London, I can't drive yet (car insurance forbids driving for 2 weeks after general anasthetic) and I have a hospital appointment the next day.

Will Mr. Micawber be there? Or will certain pecuniary difficulties render his attendance unlikely at best, at worst impossible; in short, is he broke?
