conichiwa!!!!! just popping in for a sec....at the apple store on ginza (ginza:s like 5th or madison avenues i guess--kinda dull)...muggy and rainy here, but i]m loving it so far....more another day! →[More:]

tonight:s the meetup! and i bought a camera--- a sony cybershot DSCT5 for 26000yen...

I can say "Good Morning, teacher" in Japanese. It's a surprisingly useful phrase if you play your cards right. Have fun!

Oh, to live vicariously through amberglow. Dude, pay carefull attention to the organization of public space and streetscapes. The Japanese have an interesting way of sharing sidewalks between public right of way and mini plazas belonging to the buildings adjoining them. Apparently everyone gets to decide how to pave a small section of sidewalk in front of their building. I really would love a picture or two of that. Also, check out the 16' sidewalks! Pedestrian amenities OMG!
