I'll start being kmellis again. I was logged in as Ethereal Bligh the last couple weeks, for some reason. What I should do is switch to kmellis on the 'filter. Ah, well. Is this coming Sunday Mother's Day?

Um, no, not really.

I was sort of interested to see if I behaved differently here as EB than as kmellis. I don't think I did. I bet, though, that I'd be noticebly different as kmellis on MetaFilter. (By the way, in case anyone's wondering, I rarely use screennames like Ethereal Bligh and almost always use kmellis, but there was a kellis already and I thought it wouldn't be nice to that person. Of course, he/she hasn't posted in several years, so it was kind of silly of me.)

I can't believe I'm admitting this, but...I got the stupid idea that maybe part of why I rarely get shout-outs is because "kmellis" isn't very memorable.

On preview: "Which one's the cute one, and which is the smart one?" Heh. You have to ask?

They let you keep both?

I had an "If I Had An Anus" account here for like a week (so my MeFi posts would show up in the sidebar), but then it was deleted. I didn't ask why.

dano, that account was never deleted... it's still there. But maybe you forgot that you made it all lower case, and so had a problem logging in?

Also dumbass of me to fail to create the account properly for its stated purpose: so my MeFi posts would show up in the sidebar. Any chance you could help a dumbass out?

Actually, it's kind of strange... I tried to change the login to caps and lower case (instead of all lower), but it seems not to have worked. It won't take! The name shows up as caps and lower here, because the "nickname" part is entered that way.

I guess we won't know if it works with the mefi thing until you make a post... if it doesn't show up, we'll have another look at the problem.

Yeah, I recently dropped the purple prefix on my 'fi account.

Sunday appears to be mom's day - I'm a little estranged from mine and I've been having problems thinking of some intarwebby (she's on another continent right now) way of saying 'happy mother's day.'

ach, all these different accounts confuse me. From now on, we're all different people here than on mefi, even if we use the same name.

I noticed the switch, but didn't know why it had happened. I prefer kmellis, the account seems more grounded, less ethereal. :)
