This is my new kitten, Wensleydale. She has just come out of hiding to sleep on the couch and is just about the cutest thing ever. Also: she's a cuddle monster.

My litte stinky peanut. I also have four budgies but I haven't taken any pictures of them yet. Just imagine four teensy feathered tasmanian devils.

Whooo! Lovely pets. I approve and Wensleydale sticks her butt in front of the monitor. Not sure yet what exactly this means, I think it means "TURN OFF THAT SCREEN AND CUDDLE ME."

Here's Moondog who passed away a couple of weeks ago. I still cry when I see his picture and think of the empty spot in my life. No dog sleeping next to the bed to step over. No one to cheer me up when I'm blue. I miss my best friend.

I've got no current pix of the three cats. Clara is dark calico, Roy is dark grey with silver guard hairs and feet, Frankie's a blond shorthair tabby with a crooked tail. They're littermates (I adopted a pregnant queen).

This year's deer crop is happening, though I don't make pets of the deer. They need to be wary of humans, but we all live together and they don't panic and run when they see me.

i foster dogs when i can, so my pets change often (except for the permanent cats.) here's carissa, a 2-yr-old mini dachshund i'm fostering for three weeks.

Thank you all for the kind comments, both here and at Flickr. It's been tough not having him around, but I recently went to look at some Aussie puppies so maybe soon I'll have a new buddy (or two!!) to show off here.

You all have some great creature friends. It's nice putting pets to the faces, and you know what they say about pets looking like their owners....
