My cat had 1½ inches of his intestine removed : ( [More:]
Axel swallowed a string and it got wrapped around his tongue, so it was hanging down his digestive tract for who knows how long. He kept throwing up for a day straight so I took him to the animal hospital. Turns out that the string had caused his intestine to bunch up into a "string of pearls" effect and he needed surgery.

So he had the surgery and ended up having a fever for a few days. I just picked him up tonight and I missed most of Lost, damnit.

I will now refer to him as the $2700 cat, because that's how much it costed! This is now the third pet that's required intestinal surgery in as many months. First sadie who got disemboweled, which i've talked about here before. Then our black lab, jake, ate a fucking paint-roller and had to have it removed from his intestines. Now this!
God. I have no words. So sorry.

Sorry, pukey. Hope he recovers fully. If he does, the money's just a big ol' pshaw.

pukey, I'm beginning to think you need to change your user name. Please! Do it for the animals!

Seriously, though, child - that sucks so hard. Such a wrenching experience... x3. Ack!!!

This probably makes me a very very bad person, but I can't help but giggling about your Lab eating a paint roller.

I do sympathize with you on the pet health worries, however. Good luck to recovering kitty #2.

You could use it to string the worlds smallest violin!

Sorry dude, couldn't resist. I hope your cat's giblets are better soon.

And I hope it isn't cat intestinal surgery week around here cos my kitty is too tiny to start losing bits

So sorry, puke&cry. I had the $2000 cat a few years ago, so I know what that's like. I wish Axel a very speedy recovery.

Well, I had to take him back to the vet today because they left the catheter in his arm. *shakes head* The doctor said they have a lot of new techs.

Then the doctor said axel may be having an alergic reaction to his stitches. So they have to go back in a replace them with staples. I can't catch a fucking break.
