Tried out my new camera today... →[More:]After taking expert advice from DaShiv, I bought myself a new camera last week and had a trip to the seaside today where I took a few pictures.

Obviously I need to learn about composition, but I'm really happy with the quality of the pictures, the colour is great, and the pictures are much, much better than the snaps I took with my old point-and-click camera.

Be prepared, I will no doubt bore you all to tears with my amateur photography in the coming months ...

They look good (not that I know anything about photography). Were there really no people at all in Frinton today?

It's a very quiet resort, which is what I love about it. There were a few dog walkers and one couple with an 8-month-old pointer pup - and they also had seven young children, all redheads, including two sets of twins!

We didn't have to walk too far to be completely alone. It was beautiful.

The color IS great. Looks so seaside-y there...in fact, kind of like Maine, but with fewer trees.

I thought the color was lovely, too. Very nice, the location looks relaxing. Soothing, even, that is, if I could spell it with confidence.
