Home needed for rescued cat [More:]A friend of mine in the Derby/New Haven, CT, area has rescued a cat, who she found almost starved to death. Her own cat is objecting greatly to this new one, so if you want/need a new cat, and can restore this little girl to full health, email me and I'll pass on your details to my friend.

The cat is friendly and purry but needs some TLC. It appears she's been spayed (notch in her ear. Does that mean spayed?) and, apart from being starving hungry, appears to be in good shape otherwise.
What a cute cat! Perhaps it's enhanced by her squinting at the flash, but still durned cute. Kudos to your friend for rescuing her - I hope she finds the kitty a good home soon. Being on the other side of the continent and having a cat of my own who would strongly object to no longer being the sole object of food and scritchies, I can't offer to take this kitty in myself.

She looks like my cat Bootsie!

If no response, try some local rescue groups or search for NO KILL shelters.

Bless. I wish I could help but I already have my hands full and everyone I know already has more cats than is strictly necessary. A cat that cute shouldn't have any problem finding a new home.

Notch in the ear means that at some point she was probably in a shelter that believed she was feral (whether she actually is feral or not).

Too bad she's across the country. I hope she finds a home soon, essexjan.

All you east coasters, pass on her details and contact me if you know someone who can care for her.

I'm in New Haven. Wish I could take her, but I don't think I can. I will certainly ask around and see if there is anyone I know who could.
