Why is it so quiet today? Are people actually (gasp) working?
I'm not, I'm bouncing rabbits on mushrooms, thinking about what would happen if I just walked away from this desk and never came back, and writing rambling movie reviews on my blog.
I'm working hardly (still at home, still a little under the weather- but tonight, I'm going to dinner at the Cafe Edison, they have the best matzo ball soup EVER, and then to see The Wedding Singer on Broadway! yaaaaay!).
I am working, have been out in the field, and have to be at my desk now for awhile so y'all might see a flurry of comments, if what comes into my mind seems interesting enough. . .
I should be working. I showed almost 2 hours late because the Wings/Oilers hockey game went until 2am EST last night and I feel asleep on my couch. Then, I feigned going to lunch but actually just got a shoe shine. Then after a few minutes of admiring my shiny shoes, I went to get lunch for real. In between all this, I answered an AskMe question and pasted some text from one document to another.
I'm studying for my last round of finals EVAR. If I were smarter, you wouldn't see me around here at all for the next few weeks. As it is, I'm not so smart. Plus, the studying I'm doing right now requires the use of the internet, and the temptation to check out my favorite websites is beyond my self-control.
dano, I suspect a lot of people did, since I think it was posted over a weekend. Maybe there should be another thread, or it could go in the yellow circle.
I've been really busy at work today. I only have tomorrow, Tuesday and Wednesday in the office before I'm off for a few weeks, so it's been really busy trying to get as much done as possible.
I try to keep my MeCha'ing to a minimum when I'm in the office, it's too easy to get distracted. And my job's mostly interesting anyway, so it's not as if I'm just number crunching or anything that would drive me to boredom.
Not sure, rainbaby. I'm hoping they'll send me home the same day, if I'm in theatre early in the morning. I had all my pre-op checks yesterday, all went well, and I have, I learned, a very slow resting heart rate (around 54 bpm). Which I'm told is good. Unless it's too slow. Then it's not good.
I had a long string of meetings today. Usually I work mostly at my desk and can click in and out of here easily. Today, though, it's been all about the ol' conference table.
I was actually working today and I accomplished a lot. Soon, this horrible comp will be behind me and then I'll be free to play amoung the bunnies again! I miss playing with you bunnies :(
I'm working, and may even have to work overtime. Bleah. But usually when I'm quiet it's because I can't get at a computer -- there are 11 of us in here but only 5 computers.
I've run out of things to say.
Me too, not that it's ever stopped me before.
Actually, I have been working and travelling (currently back in sunny Townsville). Apart from not having 'net access in planes, this 28.8 connection through the hotel switchboard kinda makes it difficult to do much of anything :-(
*googles*
Ah, so that's what the powerpuff girls are.
Yeah, they are in the hotel room next to me. Man, those girls can party hard - they kept me awake half the night.
