Ask MeFi post on working in the US? Anyone remember an askme post on jobs that aren't summer camp for UK gap year people?[More:]

I can't bring it up in search for the life of me, and it's just what I need.

BTW, is this question allowed on metatalk?
Yep, it's perfectly fine to ask on MetaTalk. I'll also see if I can find it for you. Sometimes I have good search fu.

Hi iconomy! (Sorry to derail your thread, keare.)

People ask questions like that in the grey all the time. I'd say the question is whether you should ask in on the green. If iconomy can't find anything, I'd say go green.

BTW, BUNAC used to be a good program, but I can't say what it's like now.

I disagree, GeckoDundee. Asking about an AskMe that you can't find is for the grey. If it's asked in the green, keare will get slammed for not asking about something Mefi-related in Metatalk. If no one in the grey has any answers, then maybe it should be taken to AskMe.

Sorry amro, I obviously wasn't clear. Yes, this is a fine question for the grey, IMO.

A good question for *here* is "should I ask this on the green?". That would achieve the same thing, but without the snark that only the grey can deliver.

I meant that if iconomy doesn't find anything, then asking about UK gap year jobs that aren't summer camp jobs would be a good question for the green.

If it's that hard to find, go ahead and ask your question. It's probably not exactly the same as the previous one, and if it is somebody will surely link to it as they tear you a new one. New ones are so bad really.
