MeFi/MeCha Girls' Night is a success! So some of us NYC girls got together for a girls' night of tapas and dancing...

Despite the excellent, inexpensive food and somewhat inexpensive wine/whatever sparkly stuff gaspode was drinking, this is not a place where we could have a lot of people meet up at. It was just too damn small. As it was, we crammed ourselves at the end of the bar, jamming up the path to the bathroom so that everyone who wanted to go inevitably had to rub up against our asses while they slid by. I think we were so busy talking and chatting about things that we forgot to get a Photo Friday pic of us drinking.
Then, TPS, her friend Erin and I went to Culture Club for dancing. And it makes perfect sense that when we got there, no one was dancing--so naturally, we had to be the first on the dance floor. And then we got this cute redhead named Carrie up with us, and then some of the other people in the corner floated down to join us and the party was officially underway.
Eventually, TPS wasn't feeling the 80s groove downstairs, so we migrated upstairs to NervAna, the 90s dance area. Things were much better up there. For one, there was an air conditioning vent right above the dance floor so when you wanted to cool down, all you had to do is stand under the air and dance. Pink didn't want any skeevy guys getting behind her and grooving with her and as her sworn wingwoman, I took a hit when this guy named Peter who had been dancing with her friend Erin tried to get behind her. I intercepted him while she fled the floor and he and I salsa'ed for a while. (BTW, Peter says you and Erin are very beautiful ladies.) [cont'd]
