Right now... ...my favorite song is "Rise Up With Fists" by Jenny Lewis with The Watson Twins.

What's yours?
'Voodoo Voodoo' by LaVern Baker and 'C'mon Everybody' by Eddie Cochran. Always go for the vintage stuff, baby.

Well, the Sam Goody's here in town closed down, with the usual fabulous deals that you get when a store closes down, and I got this for only 20 bucks, so right now my favorite song is everything on this.

I just noticed that Rhino records calls them "boxed sets," and I always say "box set." Huh.

I'm pretty into 'A Bird in the Hand,' off Ice Cube's Death Certificate, lately, but I hesitate to call it a favorite, as it seems that would do a disservice to longtime favorites like 'Stagger Lee,' 'Mack the Knife,' 'Bags' Groove,' etc.

JanetLand: I'm jealous. That's a really nice box.

"Living Room". . .Tegan and Sarah. . .I can't hear it enough!

JanetLand. . .nice set. . .very obscure tracks. Have you heard Leslie Gore's "Maybe I Know?" I woulda put THAT track on this set, but that's just me.

A weird mix of Fun For Me by Moloko and Now We're All Gonna Sing by The Howling Hex.

Crazy by Gnarls Barkley. Shakey Dog by Ghostface. Forget the Flowers by Wilco.

"Washington Post March/Japan Dissolution" by Ground Zero from the album Plays Standards (does this link work?)

It's not my favorite ever, but it's fun to go home from work at lunchtime and listen to something really fucked up.

Right now, it's The Red Rose by the Everybodyfields, which I have been listening to over and over. Please try it.

Oh yeah, danf, I love "Maybe I Know." But I think this box is strictly for the obscure stuff, and I hear that one quite a lot on the clearchannel oldies network.

I had to pop the Jenny Lewis CD into the car CD player this morning so I could remember which song that was. Track 3. It is indeed very nice, although I've been fixated on a few other songs on that record instead lately.

I heard a nice acoustic Ray LaMontagne cover of Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy" on KEXP last night.

As always, I can't answer this question because I don't have just one favorite song at any given moment. Although "Noisy at the Circus" by Head Like a Kite does keep coming into rotation (it's got vocals by the young singer from Smoosh).

Isn't that album good, mb? I also really like the cover of "Handle Me With Care".

I just keep playing both tunes over and over.

Yummy music!

Two Suns in the Sunset - Pink Floyd. This will be no surprise to some. Actually, I have been in love with The Final Cut for a while now and can't resist listening to it on my commute at least three times a week.

i'm bouncing between Put Your Records On by Corinne Bailey Rae, and White Limousine by Duncan Sheik.

Oh man, toss-up between The Funeral by Band of Horses, and a song from the new Twin Atlas record, Sun Township - Rearview Memories or something like that.

A Band of Horsies!
