MetaChat dream! Okay, this time it was me who dreamed about Vegas, and I wasn't alone...→[More:]

Someone who was supposed to be agropyron but didn't look like him and someone who was supposed to be amberglow but didn't look like him were with me and we were hanging out on the Strip. There may have been some hanky panky going on, but that wouldn't make much sense as agro's married and amber plays for the wrong team.

What, you wanted more details? That's all you get, because after waking up from that dream and trying to fix in my head who exactly it was I dreamed about, I fell asleep again and had a different dream where Hurley from "Lost" and I were at some sort of character-building work retreat and we were supposed to go through an obstacle course. That was pretty freaking cool, so of course that's the dream I remembered.

I should have written it down.

I've been very dreambusy lately, but I really have to start writing things down, because I forget, even though I don't think I will.

I've had a few mecha dreams recently, and at least one mefi dream, but all I can remember is one in which DaShiv and I were talking a lot (on a bus?), and we were really good friends.

Well, "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" is a bit misleading. The original moto stated, "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, save for the chlamydia you acquired and will have a very difficult time explaining to your spouse/significant other when you get back home and share it with him/her".

The later is clearly an awkward slogan and was shorted, primarily, as it made for a rather depressing and wordy t-shirt.

That said, here are some tips for enjoying my adopted city:

1. Recognize that the yard long strawberry daquiri they allow you to walk about the Strip drinking doesn't contain enough alcohol to intoxicate a small cat.

2. Locals pay no state tax as those of you who are very bad at statistical math pay it for us while sitting in front of video poker machines and at green felt tables.

3. You will see signs reading "Free Shrimp Cocktail". You will not find this. You will not find anything to be "free". In Vegas, things are "complimentary". This differs from free in that complimentary means that your pocket is being picked while you are being handed the complimentary drink, steak or stuffed bunny.

Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas. Feel free to embarrass yourself as you pretend to be Sinatra, Vince Vaughn or Liza Minelli (as your gender identity dictates).

saf: I am a Vegas Visit Veteran, and I have relatives who live in your fair city and a friend who lives in Henderson.

Having said that, I still can't stop but get all giddy and excited every time I go. I don't mind being a "touron" in Vegas like I minded being one when I stepped into Times Square for the very first time.

I use the phrase only ironically. I love to share the story about my friend running up $21K at a strip club. That's a great, hilarious story. Mostly because it didn't happen to me.
