Back at work after four days off. How much does this suck?

Not as much as being broke because you haven't worked since last August.

I'm ready to do shit office work, at this point. Still haven't gotten to the point where I'll actually apply to jobs. Too scary and annoying.

I actually know what team I'm on now. It's not Super Exciting New Architecture team, and it's not Super Awesome Guy I've Worked With Before team either, but it should be a lot better than Crazy Randomizing Changing Priorities Daily Team, which I was on before.

That's the problem with holidays, you kind of forget what "work" is, so it comes as a nasty shock the day you have to go back.

We get another (kind of) short week next week too - Tuesday is ANZAC day; therefore a holiday. 1 May is Labour Day, so another short week, making four in a row. Then comes the crushing disappointment of going back to working five days a week.

I was a 4-day a weeker until this bitch of a year started. Now it's all five every week. So I know how you feel.

I work from home on Wednesdays and Fridays, so it's an even shorter week for me, just two days in the office. I really like my job, and enjoy going into the office. I live in a quiet area and find it too easy to isolate. I sometimes think that unless I had to go into work, I'd have no f2f contact with other humans at all.
