The God Who Wasn't There - So I watched this documentary a couple days ago at a friends place. Then he tells me that the guy that made the movie has a planned "war on easter" where people plant dvds all around churches the night before easter or something like that.[More:]

Personally, I think the whole idea is a waste of time. Like someone is going to bother watching a movie that questions their faith - a movie planted at an easter egg hunt.

Anyway, my friend and his stepdad ordered 30 copies of the movie and just finished planting them at 3 churches and a ymca. I don't know why they had to leave so many copies at each place but there you go.

So if you like a good atheist documentary, this is a pretty good one.
A waste of time indeed. I don't see what they expect to accomplish other than to aggravate a few folks.

Back when we first got married, some friends of my husband's family decided to "gift" us with a religious video in the hopes of converting us. I thought it was kind of obnoxious.

This...hiding an atheist dvd among a children's easter egg hunt...is WAAAAY more obnoxious.

Gack. As a secular humanist rationalist skeptic, I do not approve of such tactics.

that is a giant waste--you can't change someone's religious beliefs that easily. I think pointing out the hypocrisy and lies and bad deeds behind the leaders works better, even on a local level.
