I miss the state dearly. This prompted me to look-up the cast on imdb and everyone one of them is listed under "Reno 911: Miami". Interesting.

"Shhhhh, don't worry your pretty little head about that."

"Ain't your concern..."

"We had the money... we had to have the pudding."

The State was brilliant. P&C, although they've never worked together as a group since the failed CBS (?) show, the members always do guest appearances on each other's projects. I believe Tom Lennon said of Reno 911 that if a former member was in town, they had an open invitation to come on the show.

I know too much about The State.

Oh. my. god. Most of grad school for me is filtered through the lens of "The State" sketches. To this day, I cannot listen to the opening chords of "Cannonball" without thinking "would you like to try some pants?"

Also, I "met" Michael Ian Black on AOL in a State chatroom and we used to call each other occasionally. He even asked me out on a date if I was ever back in New York (he promised to take me out for "the best tsatsiki in town"). IDIOT that I am, I never quite got 'round to going.
