My work day just looked up! →[More:]I went into my boss's boss's office to talk about how I've been trying to get moved off of Quick Response and onto a project team for the last 3 months and 2 managers. I had all of this factual history prepared, and talking points from Getting To Yes. He folded his hands and said "How would you like to work on [Exciting New Architecture Project Team]?" I said "I would love to." He said "Wrap up the bug fixes you're working on and I'll talk to your manager and have you transitioned by the end of the week."

Some of you have heard me rant about this issue over and over again. And now I'm astonished at how easy it was!

(also... ONE MORE DAY LEFT at the tax place, then I'm back to working normal-for-me 11 hour including commute days just five days a week, not seven! That is my work joy)
