Won't you come and see me, Queen Jane? - 18MB mp3 of Bob Dylan and His Band playing "Queen Jane Approximately" last Monday evening in Stockton, California→[More:]It's an audience tape and so it requires a volume boost and some EQ tweaking. It also includes some crowd conversation excerpts. I like the last one that comes through loud and clear:

"Why don't we sit down? Because everybody else is sitting down."

A 2006 Bob Dylan moment!

Might have been a good call given the set list that night. The news on this tour is that Bob is using an organ sound instead of a piano sound for his keyboard. I like it as I can more hear what he is playing. I am assuming that most people know that Bob Dylan doesn't play guitar live anymore.

Lots of dates on this tour. I hope he heads north in the fall.

Thanks for that but...hmm...as much as I'll always love Bob, the singing these days (I saw him in Sydney when he got the Academy award...2001? : fantastic concert) leaves a lot to be desired. Sometimes it's cool, sometimes it's partially cool but most of the time it's something I don't like to listen to (linked song included).

I don't hold it against him and I'd always go see him at the drop of a hat buttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt.. well. Glad to hear he's still getting around is my most favourable response I guess.
