This is a morning thread ... →[More:]Working from home again, and instead of obeying my first intinct to get up the first time I woke at a few minutes after 7am, I turned over, snuggled with the kitties and fell back to sleep.

It's now almost 10am, I'm on the first coffee of the day, dark as creosote, and a couple of toasted hot cross buns.

It looks like it might be a nice day outside, the sky is blue and clear, and I'm going to drink this coffee, make another, put some food on the bird table and then decide what to do with the day.

Sounds wonderful for a Friday. Working from home is great!

I'm devouring eggs & turkey bacon, listening to the cooing doves outside and checking the morning sites.

Off to a meeting with a PAYING client at 10:00.

Happy Friday! I have a conference call at the office is an hour and a half..... guess that means I have to get dressed and leave my house, eh? ::looks at self in bathrobe::

I am at my job too. But I got up at 5:30 and worked out first, so I'm feeling smug and think I'm better than everybody else.

I had to slog through fucking rain to get here. If it weren't Friday I think I'd just have drowned myself in a gutter.

I do have an absolutely fantastic Radiohead bootleg to groove to, though.

It's a bit after five in the afternoon now here, and here's what I've done: washed dishes, washed myself, went to the post office, went to see a real estate guy about renting this apartment we own, went to pay the electricity, went to pick up a comp. CD from someone, had a glass of wine with mr. taz by the sea, bought more wine, bought food for supper, bought thingies like garbage bags, etc., went to the post office again, put away purchased items, washed clothes, and studied greek for a little while. No regular design/site work at all today... And now I'm here. With another glass of wine. Yay.
