Intelligent and somewhat mischievous, they are also the fastest domestic cat, clocking 36 mph.

A friend of mine had a Mau, and the above statement is so true. There'd be this blur about the house whenever Woody got playful. He also had a habit of riding on shoulders. I discovered this when he was on the floor looking up at something past my shoulder. I turned to look, and then looked back in time to see this furry blur attach itself (painfully) to my shoulder, and then curl around my neck. I'm 6'4" and wasn't really expecting that. Freaked the hell out of me at first. Then I had to walk around with a nose and a purr in one ear and a tail in the other. Wicked smart cat too - would try to manipulate eveything with it's paws, often to disasterous effect.

i had a cat jump on me upon entering an apartment, land on my chest, and stick its tongue in my mouth.
i don't think it was a mau, i think it just lacked boundaries.

I'm hoping that's how my next date goes. But not with a cat.

aww, zack, my (huge) tabby widget insists on riding on my shoulders.
