05 April 2006

I'm taking a mental health day, myself. March was interminable and I so need the break.

It's going to be a glorious day.

I am so jealous you don't even know. I might do one of those two things, but I have a meeting I can't skip.

Maybe I could do half- go to work but wear my pajamas? Have the client meeting- at my house? Do you think they'd mind having a barking chihuahua jump all over them?

There are some things I can do from home but mostly I have to be in the office to do stuff.

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S SNOWING EITHER. On the one day I have to leave the office to go somewhere....

Great pic, essexjan. That's exactly what I picture everyone posting from work looks like.

Hope you have a happy mental health day, mike.

Me too! On a special project for my boss. I get to read a book and write my ideas about it! So cool! And I'm in my pajamas! OMG!

I could do my job from home.

But they won't let me.

BASTARDS.

I'm lucky to be in a job that lends itself to homeworking. One guy in my team lives in West Wales, and there's a woman lives in Harrogate. The office is at Canary Wharf.

There's nothing better than a day when it's hammering down with rain outside and I'm still in my jammies at 11am. Or, like today, when I blitzed the work by 11.30 and then had the rest of the day to myself.

It's very sunny in Essex today, and I realised that I needed to clean the patio doors. There's nothing like a bit of sunshine to emphasise just how dirty the windows are. Then, as I finished polishing them with newspaper, a bird shit on the glass as it flew over, which I suppose is the downside of having lots of birds to look at in the garden.
