What's that, boy? Timmy's caught in the well? A story of sisterly love.[More:] I had a Lassie moment with my cats yesterday. They have somehow discovered a little panel in the corner of my kitchen cabinets that they can remove, and then wriggle into the tiny space UNDER my cabinets. I replace the panel as tightly as I can, but they always manage to pry it free. At one point yesterday Kaylee was following me everywhere, meowing constantly, and generally being a pain in the ass - which is normally Lance's department. Kaylee is the laid-back one. At first, I just figured she was being needy, but her persistence made me feel like something was up.

Later I was in the kitchen and I heard a scratching sound. I looked down at that little panel and saw little paws pushing through the tiny crack. Looked closer, and sure enough, Lance was trapped in there. It was then that I realized what Kaylee had been trying to tell me for the last hour. I'm glad I didn't leave home!

I have got to figure out how to wedge that thing in there so they can't get it back out. Wily kitties.

Damn. Good thing you have two.
BTW, glad to hear the date went well. Will there be a second?

Looking back, I can really see her "stupid human" frustration with me.

Thanks, jrossi - there has actually already been a 2nd. :) It continues to go very, very well!

Me too. I think I should save myself some time, go to the cat shelter next weekend and adopt the 49 cats I will end up living with when I'm 75, just fast-forward the next few decades and go straight to being a batty old catwoman.

Try duct tape. It fixes everything WD40 can't.

Also, when Oliver is being annoying and yowling for no apparent reason I ask him if Timmy is caught in the well. He usually gives me that "stupid human" look and stalks off.
