Ask Mecha: OMG. Kittens. →[More:]Our sweet ginger tabby
Maggie is in the family way.
Before you guys lecture me, I was going to get Maggie spayed way back last April after we adopted her, but my daughter begged and begged and begged me to
please let her have just one litter. I thought it would be a great educational experience, so I relented.
And this morning, I noticed that Maggie is sleeping more than usual, has a raging appetite, a slightly distended abdomen and enlarged nipples.
How do I prepare us and the house for the blessed event? Maggie's up on her vaccinations, so that's taken care of... is a trip to the vet this week in order?
After the kittens arrive, what can I expect? As in, what happens to the placenta, what's involved in feces management, postpartum checkup, etc.? Thanks so much.
Oh, yeah. Free to a good home.
