Fun NIght Alcohol was drunk. Streets were walked. I ate frog and duck for the first time. The emerald didn't smell like vomit. All in all, very nice.

It was a great night. Did you stay out much later after we left?

And, um, mr. g was in a quiet mood because he saw this happen on his way home from work. He said it was the worst thing he's ever seen in his life. And I won't get any more graphic than that.

At Doyer's, the Wino was feeling punchy.

They called out the mounted police to calm him down--but to no avail.

Pips says hello to the MeCha gang.

Another fine example of friendly, hetero male friendship. Entirely hetero.

Hi all! Last night was super fun. It was great to see those who I have not seen in some time and even better to meet TrishLynn and Pips.

I knew Mr. G was having a tough night but it was so great to see him too. Such a great guy.

Oh, and no, we didn't stay out later. Pips' last train was about midnight and we were trying to find a nice, quiet bar to have one last drink at. Nice? Quiet? At 11 pm on Friday? Wasn't going to happen.

So jon and I took a cab with her to Grand Central, and then we went back to Queens.

Yes, sorry for the weird "Goodbye" on the corner.

The good thing is that I ran into my friend and her husband and we went to this great dive bar about two blocks away...not too loud and you could smoke inside.

We got home at 3am. Don't remember the last time that happened.

Is "frog and duck" a single entity, or have you not had frog or duck before?

Before last night, I had never eaten frog before, which isn't so odd. I also had never eaten duck, whis is kind of odd come to think of it, especially for a man who's eaten squid, gator, and bunny rabbit. But I enjoyed them all.

Duck has good texture and I like the taste but it tends to be really fatty.

In the last 24 hours I've eaten frogs, duck, carmel pork, Nathans famous hotdogs (at the spot in coney island) with sourkraut, chicken salad, raw oysters, grilled baby octopus and lobtster. So thats pretty powerful. I feel kind of like a superhero.

I had a fun time, Hugh and I did some stoop drinking after everyone split up and I went home more than a little tilted.

Yeeee! Poor Mr. gaspode! I've had bus drivers run red lights on me (honking and smirking) when they knew perfectly well I had the right of way.

I've been in Texas for the past month, where I had lamb fries for the first time--not quite as much fried clam flavor as prairie oysters.
