You know what? If the kind of God I want to believe existss really did favour some people over others for no other reason than that someone was praying for that specific person, I'd be pretty incensed. God is supposed to be universal, after all. I don't think people understand that praying isn't supposed to be about giving santa your wish list.

Man, if I was sure that I had an eternity of perfection waiting for me, I'd be verifying that mine fields were cleared, by ripping around them in a GTO. Or some similarly dangerous noble work.

I just answered their little survey and apparently 54% of people think that prayer does affect outcome (it just can't be studied with this type of reasearch).

Which, whatever, believe what you want. But then how do you define a positive outcome? Odd.

Hm. I remember reading (quite a while back) an article where people who didn't know other people were praying for them healed quicker/better. I wish I had a link for it.

As an agnostic, I didn't know what to think of it. Big Daddy in the sky helping? I don't think so. Coincidence? Possibly.

All I know is there is a lot of "stuff" out there that we don't understand and may never understand.
