29 March 2006

I missed you guys today! How the heck are you doing?[More:] Me, I'm pretty good- we had a company meeting with our investor today (we're a start-up) and it went very well and all my ideas for the future were loved by all and I'm a GENIUS! And it ended early enough so I don't miss Lutheran class at church tonight (I'm on my way toward membership- they even want me to be assisting minister once I'm a member! Cool, huh?) Plus, I had a great weekend hanging out with all my Meta/Mecha friends. I love you fools!

But, really, enough about me. Please tell me about YOU.
Is your investor a venture capital firm or an individual?

Good luck with God. I hope he likes your church work as much as the investors like your temporal work.

As for me, the bosses are at conference in Florida. So we had our second 90 minute lunch in as many days. And we're taking our new recruit out to dinner/drinks (though I may have to come back afterwards, argh).

I managed, because I am unusually adept, to install the new RAM I just got for my computer - backwards. Where it made a scary burning smell and fucked up my computer so that it wouldn't work at all all day, until I got somebody (who I had to pay money to) to come over and look at it and who promptly reversed the RAM, chuckled nicely at me, and went away. Arrrrrggggghhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!! I am an idiot!!!!!!

MGL- You're one up on me. I couldn't even get the case open. Once I got someone to do that, I was fine. Er.

Why today is a good day: coffee tonight with the current psuedo crush. Hurrah.

Our investor is an individual and I LOVE him. Love love love him. He's great.

YouCanCallMeAl, did you mean a Sussudio Crush?

Oh, and here's Old Dirty Bastard covering Sussudio.

One time I stuck new RAM in and the PC wouldn't start at all ... just nothing. Turns out the label had come off the RAM stick and was stuck in the slot.

My day is just starting. Good so far. I'm listening to a girly pop compilation I made for a friend. And I packed for NZ this morning, because after work I'm off to the airport and going to Auckland for the weekend. Yay me!

You will restore honor to the Church, TPS. Keep rockin'.

I wish I had better news to report today but I woke up with kind of a cold. I was pretty weak most of the day but did manage a couple of outings. One of them was to take in V for Vendetta in IMAX and that was worth it.

Tomorrow will be for buying last-minute gifts and then getting my, ahem, snake on a plane. NYC has been great to me, first and foremost because of the NY MeFites hospitality.

I'm looking forward to Vegas. Hopefully one or more of you will make it West sometime before then.

V for Vendetta, starring my hair role model: Natalie Portman. Hate the bitch, but dig her hair.

Why do you hate Natalie Portman?
posted by mullacc 29 March | 22:30
Because in interviews she's all holier than thou. Ohhh I went to Harvard, I'm sooo smart, oh, I think girls need to focus on their brains not their looks- says the girl who makes a living being beautiful. I just think she's obnoxious.

But girlfriend has great hair.

And scarabic- thanks for visiting our fair city! Come back anytime! Especially if you're going to bring Our King with you.

To be fair- I hate all the holier-than-thou celebrities- Angelina Jolie, and Scarlett Johanson, for starters.

ThePinkSuperhero, why are you trying to kill my dreams?

*weeps softly in a corner*

What dream did I kill, exactly? ::confused::

Hm... do we want celebrities to be brainless bimbos and proud of it? We have enough classless, uneducated actresses in that town to make room for one haughty Harvard wench, methinks. Hell, if I were in Hollywood, I think I'd feel pretty damn holy myself :)

Homegirl is a terrible actress, though. She cries on command like a sponge under squeeze, but she can't emote. If that makes sense. Hugo Weaving was more convincing through his funhouse mask.
