I seem to recall a news piece several years ago about a fellow that did this in a Home Depot. Except that one was only 24 hours, I think. Mad props if anyone remembers that and can find a link.

That was one of the worst written articles I've ever read.

I bet Wal-Mart tries to hire him and turn him into a feel-good publicity machine. Maybe I'm just cynical.

Bartels got to feeling so productive and beneficial, he even filled out a job application.

"I wasn't sure how to answer some of the questions," he said. " 'Where can we reach you?' That was a tough one. The electronics department?"

That got a LOL.
