That's too bad. I've read some Stanislaw Lem, but not nearly enough. In addition to The Cyberiad selfnoise mentioned, I heartily recommend The Futurological Congress. It's a great little book.

that really makes me sad. I consider his Solaris one of the most romantic, enchanting and heartbreaking books I have ever read. And Tarkovsky's film lived up to that. I am sad, very very sad.

damn. I was just now going to the Stanislaw Lem site to find a link for the "what's good to read in bed?" Askme thread. I saw the dates 19xx-2006 and I thought to myself "wow, I didn't know he died this year" and then I came here.
