I keep my eye open for this dog in my neighborhood- Astoria isn't that far from Flushing for a dog that can run 25 miles an hour.

Yea, see, the blog has evidence (a sighting of the dog with a rope collar) of what I suspect- somebody has that dog.

By Wednesday afternoon, Flushing was one big dog trap. Whole roasted chickens had been left out as bait. A greyhound named Hubbard sauntered around Kissena Park, offering companionship. An 83-year-old man strolled with his belt in his hands, ready to lasso if necessary.

I'm pretty sure that had nothing to do with the dog.
