What's the longest you've gone without throwing up? →[More:]Saturday night I went to see Heart of Gold, and about 3/4 of the way through I suddenly began to feel peculiar, and when it ended we were supposed to go to dinner, but I said I Have To Go Home Right Now, and proceded to throw up in the car for most of the half-hour ride home. I needed a new floor mat anyway, I guess.

While recovering on Sunday, I calculated that it has been just over 10 years since the last time I threw up. Pretty good. How about you?

(Oh, and throwing up because of too much alcohol doesn't count. That's normal.)

For me, several years usually pass between my throwing up (at all- I've never thrown up from drinking). I think the gap between the last time I threw up and the time before that was 5+ years- because I don't think I threw up at all during college. But I definitely threw up during high school (on the ground after I got off the bus) and I threw up in my apartment a few months ago.

JERRY: No I haven't vomited in thirteen years.

ELAINE: Get out!

JERRY: Not since June 29, 1980.

ELAINE: You remember the date?

JERRY: Yes, because my previous vomit was also June 29th... 1972. That's why during the '80 vomit, I was yelling to George: "Can you believe it? I'm vomiting on June 29th again."

I can't remember the last time I threw up. It's been within 10 years, though.

Couple years at best. I usually get some sort of puke-and-squirt virus once every few winters. And then sometimes you have that random vomit for no apparent reason. I suspect that I get up and eat out of the cat's food in my sleep or something.

Hrrmmm. Last time (that wasn't from alcohol) was April-ish 2002 (food poisoning). Before that it was August 1994 (general anesthesia recovery).

And once or twice a year from booze.

i'm another nervousness-puker, so it hasn't been all that long, but i can't remember when i had a full-on puke, as opposed to just having to sit down with my head on my knees for a while, trying to breathe calmly.

i also get motion sickness (cars only), but solved that one by always being the driver. and i have a bad gag-reflex.

my god, do i sound like a huge pile of neuroses.

I can watch violence and gore and what have you in movies, but any time I see a vomit scene coming up, I avert my eyes. Ew.

April 2002, after fainting due to severe heat-stroke. Felt oodles better after that.

If alchol-induced barf counts then Sat was the last time. Stoopid St Paddy's day....damn-near killed me this year!
