I recall reading an interview with Dave Fenton (Vapor's songwriter and frontman) where he said that "psyched lone ranger" is self explanatory. I don't think he knows either.

There are at least two bands called the Cyclone Rangers (one spelled Psyclone), so obviously you're not the only one to mishear the words. I still love both Vapors albums and the twofer CD is frequently on the stereo in the Slack household.
